We added a touch of sparkle by winding the pillars with fairy lights and adding a triple swag of lights in between each pillar.

Even though this photo was taken during daylight hours it still looks great, but it really came to life in the evening. The fairy lights were dimmed slightly for a gorgeous, soft sparkle above the dance floor while the uplighters gave a warm pink glow to the room, matching the bride’s colour scheme.

Read MoreWe went to the lovely Bix Manor again recently, where the beams in the main barn are great for hanging a fairy light canopy above the tables and dance floor area. As with many barns the beams and walls are at uneven angles, which makes for some interesting challenges getting the fairy lights to hang just right!
On this occasion we installed a relaxed, centre-gathered canopy of lights running along the length of the barn in two large swags. They looked gorgeous in the day and super sparkly at night during the disco.
