The outdoor space at Ufton Court is simply beautiful day or night, and the chunky oak pergola just outside the Archer's Hall is the perfect place to sit for a bit of shelter while enjoying the view of the gardens.

We've been having some fun putting together an exciting new lighting canopy design for one of our most visited venues, the wonderful Ufton Court in Berkshire.

This one is not for the faint of heart!

Here's our festoon random loops canopy at Ufton Court, this time with lit paper lanterns dotted around hanging on the festoons.

Sometimes a few simple touches are all you need to transform the look of a room.

For this stylish party at Bix Manor near Henley we installed controllable LED uplighters and a canopy of criss-crossed festoons in the main barn...

Similar to many other barns, the Black Barn at Rushall Manor Farm has a row of pillars along one of its long sides and in this case that's where the top table was going to be.

What better way to frame the wedding party, light the space, and create a focal point than to wind lots of lovely sparkly fairy lights around and between the beams?

The smaller of the two barns at the Monks' Barn in Hurley is normally used for dancing in the evening and sometimes also for the wedding ceremony itself.

Whether it sits behind the ceremony table or the DJ this huge backdrop of festoon lights on the back wall looks spectacular and it's a fab way to add some extra light to this otherwise quite dimly lit room.

Back at the Great Barn at Manor Farm in Ruislip this weekend for another wedding in the glorious sunshine.

Even in bright sunlight this barn can be quite dark inside so a little touch of sparkle always works wonders!

The Carriage Barn at Nether Winchendon House has gorgeous dark oak beams contrasted against white painted brickwork, which make it a wonderful blank canvas for hanging a light canopy overhead and highlighting the texture of the walls with LED uplighters.

The rustic charm of the barns at Cogges Farm in Witney and pretty, practical festoon lights are a match made in heaven!

Here's a super-stylish design we installed for a recent wedding at Ufton Court.

A cluster of Edison bulbs was installed on a central cartwheel chandelier, hanging at the middle of a large star-shaped canopy of festoon lights.

Festoon lights are super stylish and really suit the rustic appeal of the large tithe barn at Ufton Court. What better way to incorporate them into a wedding decor scheme than a large, loopy overhead lighting canopy?

Combined with controllable LED uplighting, these elements came together spectacularly to transform the barn for this recent wedding!

Here's a small collection of photos showing a really effective, complete lighting scheme at Cogges Manor Farm including ... deep breath ... fairy lights, drapes, Edison bulbs, festoon lights, uplighting, mirror ball, disco lights and bunting. Phew!

You just can't beat a good old fashioned glitter ball for that authentic disco atmosphere.

Unless, that is, you have a glitter ball PLUS modern intelligent lights thowing ever-changing colours around the room!

The Archer's Hall is the smaller of the two main barns used for weddings at Ufton Court, sitting across the gardens from the larger Tithe Barn.

It's great as an extra breakout space, especially in the evening when guests might appreciate somewhere to chat or take a break from the music in the main barn.

Back to the lovely listed barn at Stonehill House near Abingdon to add some lighting for another fantastic wedding!

We installed a large canopy of festoon lights, randomly looping throughout the ceiling space, and then added lots of pretty paper lanterns hanging from selected bulbs.

This is rapidly becoming one of our favourite lighting designs to install in the large barn at Ufton Court - hundreds of metres of beautiful festoon lights hanging from the beams in random loops.

These hanging umbrellas made an eye-catching centrepiece over a cosy seating area for a Berkshire barn wedding.

With its high oak beams and large balcony, Bonhams Barn is a great space to decorate with lights.

Since we were first asked to install a canopy made up of random loops of festoon lights, the design has really caught on!

On this occasion we installed an enormous number of lights for a wedding in the fantastic, rustic barn at North Hidden Farm in Berkshire.

The spec for this large installation was to create an impressive feature which would lower the ceiling height of this enormous barn and provide subtle lighting for the evening wedding reception.

We think the result looked superb!
